FAREWELL STUDENTS

Today we farewell some of our International students. You will be missed.

INTERNATIONAL MUMS LUNCH

Today we had a lunch with all our International mums. It was so lovely to see everyone. We are really lucky to have such wonderful mums at our school.

CALF CLUB

Today we had our amazing International mums helping make sushi for calf club. Thank you so much ladies. 💋

KOREAN LANGUAGE WEEK

We were very lucky to have the Korean school come up to the hall to show the Year 5 and 6 classes since traditional hanbok costumes, how to write their name in Korean as well as some Korean games. They enjoyed learning all about the culture. 

Our Korean students also went into Ruru and Korimako to teach them how to count as well as make a traditional game ddakji, which is made using origami. 

KOREAN VISIT

I have had an amazing few days in Korea attending the Korean Fsir in Seoul. Upon arriving I did a day of sight seeing in Seoul. I visited the Deoksugung Palace, Seoul Tower, Namsangoi Hanok Village, Gwanghwamun Palace. The city is very clean with lots of trees around. Even though there is 10 million people living it never feels lot there is lots of people. Everyone is very friendly and I have enjoyed the food.

MAYORAL WELCOME

Today we had two of our International students welcomed by the Mayor of Tauranga. It was a great experience.

COOKING PANCAKES AND GAMES

Today the students played some games on the field like rippa rugby.  This involves trying to rip the tags off other students as well as trying to score a goal. 

Following this they all completed a puzzle on Australia and New Zealand learning about the different locations.

They then made pancakes which is a family favorite for students.  They enjoyed the cooking as well as the eating!  Yum yum. 

ARTS AND CRAFTS

Today we made kiwi birds. The students enjoyed the arts and crafts.

WAIHI GOLD MINE TOUR

Today the students went to the Waihi gold mine to learn about our mining techniques and to see the interactive display.  The students then had a traditional fish and chips for lunch before returning back to school.  A great time was had by all.

PIZZA NIGHT WITH HOST FAMILIES

Tonight we had pizza night with all our Chinese students and their host families.
It was really nice to be
